SAVE Transaction Charges
SAVE Transaction Charge Increase Beginning Oct. 1, 2023
Effective Oct. 1, 2023, USCIS will implement the first phase of a transaction charge increase for SAVE verification cases, which will also streamline billing to a single charge per verification case. The transaction charge increase is necessary to fully recover program costs as required by the Economy Act, Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, and Office of Management and Budget guidance.
Federal Agencies:
As shown in the table below, the federal agency charge will be $1.50 per case in Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 (Oct. 1, 2023 – Sept. 30, 2024) and incrementally increase until reaching $3.10 in FY 2026.
Fiscal Year |
Federal Agency Charge Per Verification Case |
---|---|
FY 2024 | $1.50 |
FY 2025 | $2.25 |
FY 2026 | $3.10 |
Non-federal Agencies:
SAVE is also increasing the transaction charge for non-federal agencies, but with a longer phase-in period due to many non-federal agencies having smaller budgets and longer budget cycles. The non-federal agency charge will be $1 per case in FY 2024 (Oct. 1, 2023 – Sept. 30, 2024) and incrementally increase to $3.10 by FY 2028.
Fiscal Year |
Non-Federal Agency Charge Per Verification Case |
---|---|
FY 2024 | $1.00 |
FY 2025 | $1.50 |
FY 2026 | $2.00 |
FY 2027 | $2.50 |
FY 2028 | $3.10 |
SAVE will continue charging a minimum monthly service charge of $25 for each month in which a user agency submits at least one initial verification request.
