Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a webinar on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, from 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Eastern. The webinar was presented in English. We will also record the webinar in Haitian Creole and post the recording in the Electronic Reading Room after the English language engagement.
On Aug. 3, 2021, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a Federal Register notice announcing the designation of Haiti for TPS for 18 months, effective Aug. 3, 2021, through Feb. 3, 2023.
During the webinar, Katherine Culliton-González of the Department of Homeland Security’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties provided opening remarks. USCIS then provided an overview of TPS, including an explanation of eligibility requirements and filing tips.
