The USCIS Idea Community is based on IdeaScale, an easy-to-use online platform for collecting opinions and ideas. This is known as online crowdsourcing and it is rapidly becoming a standard way for organizations to gain a deeper insight into communities and customer needs.

In September 2013, the USCIS International Operations Division planned to host an engagement with AILA representatives. By mutual agreement this engagement was ultimately canceled; however, the questions and concerns submitted by AILA prior to the scheduled meeting were addressed by USCIS. This report contains a review of AILA’s questions and the responses provided by USCIS.
