Resource features I-9 Employer Handbook in Spanish and "How Do I?" series in Chinese

USCIS hosted a series of webinars in June 2012 to give interested individuals an opportunity to view the different features of USCIS ELIS and ask questions about the new system.

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) reminds workers in the sheepherding industry that the one-time accommodation giving them more time to fully transition to the three-year limitation of stay requirements for the H-2A nonimmigrant classification is scheduled to expire. Sheepherders in H-2A status who have reached their maximum three-year period of stay on or before August 16, 2012must depart the United States no later than Aug. 16, 2012.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Alejandro Mayorkas invited any interested individuals to participate in a stakeholder engagement with USCIS economists on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm (Eastern).

Intercountry Adoptions Under the Hague Adoption Convention

WASHINGTON - U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will commemorate America’s 236th birthday by welcoming more than 4,000 new citizens during special naturalization ceremonies held from June 28 through July 10 across the United States and overseas. 

On June 22, 2012, USCIS hosted a public engagement featuring two economists who work on the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program.  Following that engagement, some stakeholders sought clarification as to certain points raised by the economists.  USCIS is now pleased to provide clarification as to two of the primary questions raised.EB-5 Projects Involving Hotel or Resort Development
