Stephen Dove, Chief Office of the Executive Secretariat
Stephen Dove joined USCIS in June 2019 as chief of the Office of the Executive Secretariat.
Experience and Achievements
Before that, he served in the Office of the Executive Secretary in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Dove joined DHS in September 2004 as assistant director of Legislative Affairs. In 2007, he accepted a position with the DHS Office of the Executive Secretary to lead the new Office of Congressional Actions, serving as that office’s assistant executive secretary. In that role, he supervised the team responsible for all DHS witness statements before Congress, associated questions for the record, and the management of all congressionally mandated reports. He also participated on the Executive Secretary’s management team and served as the acting deputy executive secretary in summer and fall 2018.
Education
Dove graduated from Duke University. In 2017, he completed the Senior Executive Fellows program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
