Josh Wodka, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mission Operations and Engagement, Office of the Director
Josh Wodka was appointed to serve as deputy chief of staff for mission operations and engagement in the Office of the Director on June 26, 2023. In this role, Wodka directs strategic engagement for the Office of the Director and supports leadership in the development, coordination, and implementation of priority agency policies and programs.
Experience and Achievements
Prior to this appointment, Wodka served as chief officer for mission operations and engagement in the Office of the Director. In this capacity, he was responsible for foreign and domestic travel, special events, briefing book coordination, and external engagement and partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations. Wodka first joined USCIS on April 12, 2021, as a special assistant to the director.
Before joining USCIS, Wodka served as a senior advisor to former-U.S. Senator and now Vice President Kamala Harris between 2017-2021, directing executive operations, projects, and strategic initiatives, including economic development, throughout California. Previously, Wodka worked on Harris’ 2016 campaign for United States Senate from 2015-2016 and for Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid in 2015.
Education
Wodka received his undergraduate degree from Occidental College.
