Glendaly Sanchez, Acting Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Office of the Director
Glendaly Sanchez has been selected to serve as acting deputy chief of staff for operations in the Office of the Director. She began this detail on June 26, 2023. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing daily operations and priorities in the Office of the Director, including clearance, and serving as the director’s principal liaison to the Office of the Executive Secretariat (EXSO). She will also assist with short- and long-range strategic planning.
Experience and Achievements
In her permanent role as the chief action officer in the Office of the Director, Sanchez leads a team of senior advisors that manage clearance requests received by the Office of the Director, and liaises with EXSO and the External Affairs Directorate to ensure timely clearance of mission critical documents. She has served in this role since May of 2022. Sanchez joined the Office of the Director on detail as a senior advisor on the Clearance Team in March of 2021.
Before joining the Office of the Director, Sanchez served as a policy analyst with the Office of Policy and Strategy’s Security and Public Safety Division.
Sanchez also served as a management and program analyst with the Immigration Records and Identity Service Directorate’s Verification Division for 10 years. She began her career with legacy INS in 2001 as an immigration information officer and later served as the training officer for the USCIS Contact Center in New York.
Education
Sanchez holds a master’s in public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Walden University.
