How Can I Delete My USCIS Online Account?

There are three types of accounts in myUSCIS:

• Applicant, Petitioner or Requestor account is for people submitting forms on their own without a legal representative;
• Legal representative account is for attorneys and accredited representatives; and
• H-1B Registrant account is to register for the H-1B random selection process.

If you have selected the incorrect account type and have not submitted an online form to USCIS using the account' you may delete your account and start a new one.

Drafts of forms and registrations must be deleted to successfully delete the account.

PLEASE NOTE: A Legal Representative’s account cannot be deleted if their profile has been fully completed.

Follow these steps to delete your USCIS online account:

Log into your USCIS online account at myaccount.uscis.gov Go to “My Account” on the top of the page and select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
Select “Change password”
Select “Delete your Account” as shown in the image to the right. Follow all the prompts to the end. Once your account is deleted, you can create a new USCIS online account at myaccount.uscis.gov using the email address you used for the first account. Be sure to choose the correct type of account.
