Written Notifications to Applicants During the Application Process

You will be contacted about the status of your application by email up to five times during the application process. You may confirm the status of your application at any time by logging into http://applicationmanager.gov.

Acknowledgement of Receipt

This automated message confirms receipt of your occupational questionnaire. This message does not confirm receipt of your entire application package. You are responsible for making sure your application is complete by answering all online assessment questions and submitting all required documentation. If your application is incomplete or you misrepresent your qualifications, you will be disqualified.

Notice of Results

This notice provides you with your rating based on your answers to the online occupational questionnaire. If you applied for multiple grade levels listed on the vacancy announcement, the Notice of Results will show your rating for each grade level.

Referral Notification

If you are found to be qualified AND you are one of the top-rated applicants, then you will be notified that your application was forwarded to the selecting official for further consideration. While many applicants may be qualified, Human Resources (HR) will only refer the top-rated applicants to the selecting official for further consideration and a possible interview. The selecting official (or his/her designee) will notify you if you have been chosen to be interviewed.

Selection Notification

If you are selected for a position, the HR Operations Center will contact you to make a tentative job offer (pending suitability and security clearance). If your application was referred to the selecting official but you were not selected for the position, you will receive an email informing you the position has been filled by another applicant, or that management has elected not to fill the position at this time. If you were interviewed and not selected, the selecting official (or his/her designee) will also reach out to you directly.

Vacancy Announcement Close-Out Notice

You will receive a final notice when no further selections will be made from the vacancy announcement.
