On November 19, 2010, the USCIS International Operations Division hosted an engagement with AILA representatives to discuss issues related to the adjudication and processing of refugee/asylee applications, international adoptions, waivers of inadmissibility, and humanitarian parole.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a notice in the Federal Register announcing the reopening and extension of the public comment period for the interim rule, "Professional Conduct for Practitioners: Rules, Procedures, Representations, and Appearances." The interim rule was published on Feb. 2, 2010, at 75 FR 5225. The comment period ended on March 4, 2010.

WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that it has received a sufficient number of H-1B petitions to reach the statutory cap for fiscal year (FY) 2011. USCIS is notifying the public that yesterday, Jan. 26, 2011, is the final receipt date for new H-1B specialty occupation petitions requesting an employment start date in FY2011.
