USCIS Designates Nepal for TPS
On June 24, 2015, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced the designation of Nepal for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months effective June 24, 2015, through December 24, 2016.
- The designation allows Nepalese nationals who have resided in the United States since June 24, 2015 to apply for TPS and for an employment authorization document (EAD). Once the beneficiary is granted TPS and receives an EAD, he or she is authorized to work.
