Transformation
Mission
Transformation is an agency-wide effort to move the processing of immigration benefits from paper-based to an electronic environment, accessible to both USCIS employees and customers.
What We Do
Lead, manage and facilitate a comprehensive transformation of people, processes, and technologies that will enhance national security, promote operational excellence, and provide superior customer service to those seeking immigration benefits.
How We Are Organized
Transformation is organized to approach the following four activities:
Business Integration
- Coordinates and collaborates with USCIS operational directorates to reengineer and document requirements for product lines that will be built for the agency, and manages requests for enhanging the system.
Capability Delivery
- Manages the development and testing process to ensure capability released in the system meets the needs of internal and external customers. Builds reports to enable USCIS operational directorates to monitor the status of cases in the system.
Program and Resource Management
- Manages and supports activities appropriate for a Level I programs, such as; budget, logistics, life cycle costs, and acquisitions for the Transformation program, to include coordinating with DHS oversight offices.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Conducts outreach to facilitate a comprehensive and smooth transformation within USCIS, to include partnering with USCIS Training and Customer Service organizations.
