U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a teleconference on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to discuss the process of applying for provisional unlawful presence waivers within the United States. In the first 2 months since USCIS implemented the process on March 4, 2013, we have seen a higher than anticipated rejection rate due to filing errors. USCIS officials provided an overview of the application process, discuss eligibility criteria and highlight filing tips so that individuals can ensure USCIS accepts their filing at intake. Subject matter experts from USCIS and the Department of State were also available to answer questions related to procedural and operational matters.
