Listening Session on “the Same or a Similar Occupational Classification” Under Section 204(j) of the Immigration and Nationality Act

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a listening session on Thursday, December 17, from 3 to 4 p.m. (Eastern) to provide feedback on the USCIS draft policy memorandum Determining Whether a New Job is in “the Same or a Similar Occupational Classification” for Purposes of Section 204(j) Job Portability (PDF). Clarifying this process is one of the executive actions on immigration announced by President Obama on November 20, 2014.
During the listening session, USCIS officials provided an overview and solicited input on the draft memorandum, which USCIS posted on November 20, 2015, for public review and comment. To provide written comments, please email ope.feedback@uscis.dhs.gov by the deadline: Monday, January 4, 2016.
