Immigration Relief for Victims of Human Trafficking
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited members of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to participate in a web-based training on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the various forms of immigration relief that are available to victims of human trafficking and other serious crimes.
Subject matter experts from the USCIS Office of Policy and Strategy provided an overview of the T and U visas, and identified the roles and responsibilities of law enforcement agencies when providing certification of these crimes. USCIS officials answered questions after the presentation.
