U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a stakeholder teleconference on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, from 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern, to discuss Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification (PDF, 477.5 KB). During the teleconference, representatives from USCIS provided a brief overview about Form I-9 and answered questions.
Employers must complete Form I-9 for every new employee hired after Nov. 6, 1986. Form I-9 helps employers to verify individuals who are authorized to work in the U.S.
Until further notice, employers should continue using Form I-9 dated 03/08/13 N. For more information, visit I-9 Central.
