Expiring EB-4, EB-5 Programs Extended Through Dec. 9
On Sept. 29, President Obama signed into law H.R. 5325 - Continuing Appropriations and Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017, and Zika Response and Preparedness Act. This Act extends the EB-5 Regional Center Program and EB-4 non-minister special immigrant program for certain religious workers until Dec. 9, 2016. As a result, USCIS is updating the information related to these two programs on its Adjustment of Status Filing Charts from the Visa Bulletin page.
Based on the number of known visa applicants, USCIS has determined that for the month of October, individuals seeking to file employment-based first through fourth preference (EB-1 – EB-4) adjustment of status applications may use the Dates for Filing Applications chart. Those seeking to file EB-5 adjustment of status applications must use the Final Action Dates chart.
