Employment Authorization Document and the Asylum Clock
USCIS and EOIR invite interested parties to participate in a stakeholder meeting on Monday, September 19th at 2:00pm (EDT) regarding the Employment Authorization Document (EAD) asylum clock. Please note that this engagement was originally scheduled for August 23, 2011, but was postponed due to an earthquake that occurred in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
USCIS and EOIR continue their efforts to clarify asylum clock policies and procedures. The agencies want to engage with stakeholders in a listening session to obtain valuable input to inform their policy making efforts. USCIS and EOIR want to provide an opportunity for stakeholders to note their particular areas of concern and to present their specific ideas and suggestions on how to improve the existing EAD and asylum clock policies.
