Conrad 30 Waiver Program
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), in coordination with the Department of State’s Waiver Review Division, invited you to participate in a teleconference on Thursday, September 8, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) regarding the Conrad 30 Waiver Program. This program allows J-1 foreign medical graduates to apply for a waiver for the two-year foreign residence requirement upon completion of their J-1 exchange visitor program.
During the first part of this teleconference, USCIS officials provided an overview of the program, then answered non-case specific questions submitted in advance. Department of State officials were also available to answer non-case specific questions. The second part was a listening session for your feedback and suggestions for the program, particularly the experience of J-1s without having a cap-gap.
