2D Barcode Technology and Third-Party Software Compatibility
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a stakeholder teleconference on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the new 2D barcoded forms technology as it relates to third-party software compatibility.
USCIS has begun publishing high-volume forms with 2D barcode technology as part of our Forms Improvement Initiative. Data entered onto the form electronically will become readable in a new barcode at the bottom of each page that changes as the customer enters information. This technology greatly enhances our ability to quickly and accurately intake applications at the USCIS Lockbox facilities where the applications are mailed. We provided an overview of the 2D barcode and its underlying technology during this engagement. USCIS officials were also be available to answer your questions.
